The summer doldrums had set in;
No chance for boredom any more;
Our fun is just beginning, friends;
So welcome, Wallace, once again --

debate was growing slack --
but now we will be roused again
for Wallace has come back!
he'll keep us on our toes --
for every declaration made
he'll present a juxtapose.
best sharpen up our wit
for now that Wallace has returned
each word will have to fit.
we've missed your gad-fly zest!
Though we try to ask hard questions
